Trifecta delivers organic, fully-cooked meals across Keto, Paleo, Vegetarian, Vegan and Clean Eating plans, all gluten free, at roughly $8 to $16 a serving. We are reviewing it on a GLP-1 site for one specific reason: the Performance plan runs 45 to 55 grams of protein per meal, the highest we have found — and protein is precisely what appetite suppression makes hardest to eat enough of.
Overview
Trifecta does the meal planning, shopping and cooking; meals arrive fully cooked and are heated at home. The company positions itself around fitness and nutrition goals rather than weight loss alone, and independent reviewers routinely rank it first for high-protein meal delivery — one scoring it 9.2 out of 10 in that category — and among the best overall for weight loss.
It is not a medical service. It prescribes nothing, provides no clinician and no dietitian. Judge it as food, alongside whatever treatment you are actually on.
Why Protein Density Is the Whole Argument
Roughly a quarter to a third of the weight lost on a GLP-1 is lean mass unless you deliberately protect it with adequate protein and resistance training. The medication works by suppressing appetite — which is exactly what makes eating enough protein hard.
This is the central bind of GLP-1 treatment and it is under-discussed. You are eating far less, which is the point, but your protein requirement does not fall with your appetite — if anything it rises during rapid weight loss. Most people respond by eating less of everything proportionally, and lose muscle along with fat. Lower muscle mass means a lower resting metabolic rate, which makes regain easier if you ever stop. Our protein and satiety guide covers the mechanism.
Protein density — grams of protein per unit of food you actually manage to eat — is therefore the metric that matters, not calories. A meal delivering 50 grams of protein in a portion you can finish is worth more than two meals of 25 grams you cannot. On that measure Trifecta’s Performance plan is the best option we have found, and it addresses the specific failure mode rather than a general notion of eating well.
A rough working target during active weight loss is around 1.2 to 1.6 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight daily, though that should be individualised — and if you want it individualised properly, Fay Nutrition puts a registered dietitian in front of you for $0 to $12 a session through insurance. Trifecta supplies the food; a dietitian supplies the number.
Pricing, and What It Really Costs a Month
| Plan size | Per serving | Rough monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Small (2–3 meals/week) | $11–$16 | ~$95–$210 |
| Larger weekly plans | $8–$13 | Scales with meal count |
| One meal a day, 7 days | ~$10 typical | ~$300/month |
| Two meals a day, 7 days | ~$9 typical | ~$540/month |
Plans start at $99 per delivery, and the per-serving price falls as you order more. The honest framing is that this is not cheap: one meal a day comes to roughly $300 a month, which is more than most GLP-1 prescriptions on this site cost. It is competitive against eating out and expensive against cooking.
The sensible way to use it is targeted rather than total. Cover the meal you are most likely to skip or under-protein — usually lunch on a workday — with a single Performance meal, and cook the rest. That is around $10 a day for the specific gap, instead of $540 a month to outsource everything.
Which Plan, and the Portion-Size Problem
Trifecta offers Keto, Paleo, Vegetarian, Vegan, Clean Eating and Performance options, all gluten free. For a GLP-1 user the choice is more consequential than it looks.
Performance is the one that matters, because it carries the 45 to 55 grams of protein. Clean Eating is the sensible general option. Keto is worth thinking twice about on a GLP-1: the gastrointestinal side effects of these medications are already the main reason people stop, and a high-fat diet tends to worsen nausea and slow gastric emptying further. Our side effects guide and what to eat on a GLP-1 cover this. Vegetarian and vegan plans will generally carry less protein, which cuts against the main reason to be here.
Expect not to finish meals. Trifecta portions are built for athletes, and a GLP-1 can cut how much you can physically eat in a sitting by half. That is not a fault in the product, but it changes the economics — and if you routinely eat half a meal you also get half the protein.
The practical fix is to eat the protein component first and leave the carbohydrate side if you run out of room. Splitting a meal across two sittings works too, and halves the effective cost.
What Trifecta Does Not Do
It is a food company. It does not prescribe, does not assess you clinically, does not order labs, and offers no dietitian. Nothing it sells treats obesity, and it makes no such claim — the community and advice it references are not medical care.
It also does not build a skill. Meal delivery works while you pay for it; the habits that keep weight off after a GLP-1 are the ones you develop cooking and choosing for yourself. That is a real argument for using Trifecta as a bridge through the hardest months rather than indefinitely — see our maintenance guide.
How Trifecta Compares
| Option | Cost | Protein focus | Personalised? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trifecta | $8–$16/serving | 45–55g on Performance | Plan choice only |
| Fuel Meals | $12–$14/serving | High protein, athlete-focused | Custom plans plus coaching |
| Fay Nutrition | $0–$12/session | Sets your target | Yes — a dietitian |
| Cooking it yourself | Cheapest | Whatever you make it | Builds the lasting habit |
Trifecta has the edge on protein density and organic sourcing; Fuel Meals offers customisation and coaching. Neither replaces a dietitian, and Fay costs a fraction of either.

Who Should Use It, and Who Should Look Elsewhere
Trifecta suits you if you are on a GLP-1, struggling to hit a protein target because you simply cannot face food, and can afford roughly $10 a meal. Take the Performance plan, cover the meal you most often skip, and eat the protein first.
Look elsewhere if the budget is tight — a dietitian through Fay at $0 to $12 a session plus supermarket protein achieves the same end for far less. And do not buy this instead of treatment: it is food, not medicine, and our provider comparison covers the medical side.
Limitations of This Review
This review is based on Trifecta’s published materials and independent coverage, checked on 7 August 2026. Per-serving pricing varies with plan size and we quote reported ranges rather than a definitive rate card; we could not establish current shipping costs, delivery coverage, cancellation terms, or the protein content of plans other than Performance. We have not ordered from Trifecta, so we cannot speak to taste, portion accuracy or delivery reliability. The protein and lean-mass statements are general properties of GLP-1 treatment, not claims by or about Trifecta.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Trifecta cost?
Plans start at $99 per delivery. Smaller plans run about $11 to $16 per serving and larger weekly plans drop to $8 to $13. One meal a day comes to roughly $300 a month.
Is it worth it if I am on a GLP-1?
It can be, for one specific reason: 45 to 55 grams of protein per meal on the Performance plan directly targets the lean-mass loss that appetite suppression causes. If you are already hitting your protein target, the case is much weaker.
What if I cannot finish the meals?
Expect that — portions are built for athletes. Eat the protein component first and leave the carbohydrate side, or split a meal across two sittings, which also halves the effective cost.
Should I choose the keto plan?
Probably not while titrating. High-fat meals tend to worsen the nausea and delayed gastric emptying that GLP-1s already cause. Performance or Clean Eating are the safer choices.
Verdict
4.0 / 5
The best protein density in meal delivery, aimed squarely at the problem GLP-1s create — at a price that only makes sense used selectively.
Most things sold alongside GLP-1s are noise. This is not: losing a third of your weight as muscle is the real risk of these medications, protein is the defence, and eating enough of it when you have no appetite is genuinely hard. A meal carrying 50 grams in a portion you can finish solves a problem that actually exists.
Just do not buy the whole week. Use it for the meals you would otherwise skip, get your protein target from a dietitian rather than guessing, and treat it as a bridge through titration rather than a permanent arrangement.

Take the Performance Plan, Not the Whole Week
The 45–55g protein meals are the reason to be here. Cover the meal you skip most, and get your actual protein target from a dietitian.
